IMPReSS: A comprehensive method to classify MaaS systems

In this work, we propose a new method called IMPReSS, a binary coding approach that assesses several dimensions of MaaS: Information, Multimodality, Payment, Reservation, Subscription, and Societal goals. It allows proper classification and comparison of different systems, using the societal goals as a cornerstone for its evaluation

Accessibility inequality across Europe: a comparison of 15-minute pedestrian accessibility in cities with 100,000 or more inhabitants

In this paper, we use two accessibility indicators —cumulative opportunities (total destinations) and Variety (number of different types of opportunities)—to evaluate pedestrian accessibility, using a 15-minute threshold, in a sample of European cities with 100,000 or more inhabitants, and measure within-city and between-city inequality, by calculating pseudo-Gini coefficients.

No dia 1 de fevereiro de 2023, às 9:00, ocorreu o I Workshop MASTI, no edifício 5 da Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa. O workshop foi coordenado pelo professor David Vale, e contou com a presença dos professores Filipe Moura e Luis Carvalho, além da activa participação dos investigadores André Lopes e Maurício Orozco. O evento juntou stakeholders de diversos eixos para debater o estado atual das soluções MaaS em Portugal e na Europa.

IMPReSS | Urban Transitions 2023

he results of the article “IMPReSS: A comprehensive methodology to assess MaaS systems integration from an equity perspective” were presented at the Urban Transitions Global Summit, within the scope of the MASTI Project (FCT), coordinated by Professor David Vale. Urban Transitions 2022 focused on promoting healthy urban development, bringing together different disciplines working in cities, including world-leading experts in urban and transport planning, architecture, environmental exposures, physical activity, and public health and governance to discuss the challenges and current solutions.
